In the past decade, Maquoketa has welcomed the state-of-the-art Ohnward Fine Arts Center, the Hurstville Interpretive Center, YMCA, a $1.5 million Clinton Community College Maquoketa Center and the Clinton Engines Museum.

The community has also invested in the addition of new trail ways, a stellar community school district and modern medical services anchored by the Jackson County Regional Health Center. The Maquoketa Area Chamber of Commerce stimulates the entrepreneurial spirit and pro-business atmosphere of Jackson County by providing services for workforce development, small business, and overall promotion of Maquoketa as a great place to live, work and play.
